The
Passion and Purity movement, under the leadership
of founder and president Donnette Norman,
was designed to empower, edify and encourage
participants to live a truly passionate
and pure life.
Wolmer's
High School for Girls recently hosted the
ladies chapter at a conference during which
the students were inspired by words of wisdom
from speakers, including co-president and
radio host Olecia Wedderburn-Christie, who
addressed the need to break the power of
ungodly role models. Dr Stevenson Samuels,
Reverend Carlene Riley and Yvonne Vernon
also made presentations during which they
carefully unwrapped gifts of knowledge to
enlighten and edify those in attendance.
In
addition to the speakers, a variety of gospel
artistes and other individuals were invited
to share their testimonies. Judy Mowatt
was number one on the list as she shared
her journey from Rastafarianism to Christianity.
She also ministered through her well-known
song I want to be more. Kerron Ennis
delivered a stirring ministry during which
she challenged the students to cry out to
God and invited the adults present to hug
each girl as a sign of unity and support
among the young and the old.
Concert
time!
The
conference ended with a bang, as DJ Nicholas
and Kerron Ennis took to the stage. This
certainly excited the young women who hurriedly
made their way to the foot of the stage
to enjoy songs such as Daddy Oh, What
kind of church is this, Nah bow, Can't stop
it and Living for Jesus, which
blessed their hearts. The day was one of
great impact, especially on the lives of
the teenage girls present.
At
the end of the day, the newly energised
girls were ready to embrace their passion
and walk in purity.

The
girls were definitely alive during
the concert segment of the conference.
They jumped, waved rags and sang along,
as DJ Nicholas ministered.
